Editor's Note It's no secret that flight attendants and female passengers have been subjected to sexual harassment and assault during flights for decades. Alaska Airlines announced Monday that it will enhance crew training to combat sexual harassment. But one has to ask whether the airline would have taken any action if it hadn't been Randi Zuckerberg, the former Facebook executive, who had been the subject of harassing behavior on an Alaska flight — and posted about it on the social network. Despite the advent of the #MeToo movement, Zuckerberg's fame, and an alleged rape and lawsuit, it still took Alaska four months to take any action at all. We don't know if these actions are strong enough, and we haven't heard much about what other airlines are doing, if anything.
