Each week it seems like Senior Hospitality Editor Deanna Ting is writing about the push and pull between the hotel and homesharing industries. Someday they may be one industry, but for now there is plenty to report on.

The central narrative in Ting's stories is usually what hotels are learning from homesharing, and vice versa — or in some cases, not learning. Last week, she wrote about Hyatt taking a $22 million impairment charge on missteps from its foray into homesharing, piggybacking on similar news from AccorHotels the week before.
