The fan-favorite bestbet Jacksonville poker room will once again play host to the Card Player Poker Tour, marking the seventh consecutive year that the North Florida gem has been a stop on the tour.
“We are excited to be hosting the Card Player Poker Tour again this year,” said Vice President of Poker Operations Deb Giardina. “This tour brings many out-of-town players to our facility. Players from cold climates will especially enjoy the perfect weather that Jacksonville, Florida offers in May.”
The 11-tournament series officially kicks off May 3, with a $100,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em event. This $360 buy-in tournament features four different starting flights spread across May 3-4, with a final day scheduled for May 5.
The series continues with a variety of action-packed events, with buy-ins ranging from just $150 up to the $1,100 buy-in main event. The four-day no-limit hold’em tournament starts May 10 and has two starting flights, which should allow the prize pool to grow well beyond the posted $200,000 guarantee. The past two CPPT bestbet Jacksonville main events have seen the guarantee significantly shattered, eclipsing $360,000 on both occasions. The May 13 final table will be streamed on Card Player in conjunction with bestbetLIVE.
The series schedule will also include three $350 buy-in bounty tournaments, which will run May 5, 11, and 12. Players looking for a quick tournament fix can get their fill with the $290 six-hour Ironman event on May 8, or the $240 turbo on May 12. Those looking for a deeper structure and more play will enjoy the $350 monster stack on May 7. Even Omaha players are represented by the $350 Big O tournament scheduled for May 11.
“With more than $300,000 in total guaranteed prize money, and a mega satellite that will guarantee five players a travel package that includes a seat into the WSOP main event this summer, we expect great action during this CPPT series,” said Director of Poker Operations Jesse Hollander.
We hope to see you all there!
