• Out of the continuing confusion surrounding the UK's withdrawal from the EU has come one piece of good news for the hospitality industry - and many other sectors - with the leak of a government briefing paper which says EU citizens already resident in the UK will be granted a unilateral right to stay in the country if there is a no-deal Brexit.

All 3.8 million EU citizens living in the UK will be able to remain in the country, entitling them to stay and continue to access healthcare, benefits, and pensions. It is estimated that around one in eight of all staff working in hospitality in the UK are from other EU states. It is a boost to know that they will be able to carry on in the roles they love and excel in.
