• It was very refreshing to read Victor Viseho's comments about staff empowerment this week. His article brought home to me the value, both financial and reputational, of great training. If you invest in your staff and train them to a standard where they feel confident to address any situation that might come their way during the day-to-day operations of a hotel, you'll undoubtedly see them blossom.
This is both rewarding for them and greatly beneficial for the hotel, as the staff will invariably be providing good service and a great customer experience. This in turn is reflected in favourable reviews and repeat business. Engaged and happy staff usually equals satisfied customers.
