It's fascinating to see that Amsterdam has been voted the top European hotel investment hot spot for the third year running in Deloitte's European Hotel Investment Survey.
Andreas Scriven, head of hospitality and leisure at Deloitte, said: "When it comes to hotel investment, Amsterdam is head and shoulders above the rest of Europe. It remains a standout destination for business and leisure, and is strategically placed as a gateway city. Given the investor appetite and lack of supply in the Dutch capital, we expect to see further inbound investment in 2019."
There was also good news in the survey for London, which, despite the continued lack of clarity surrounding Brexit, climbed back to second place from fourth in 2017, ahead of Paris and Madrid.
The survey was released ahead of Deloitte's European Hotel Investment Conference, which takes place in London today. Look out for a BHN report from the event soon.
